I am starting find that the more I read up on and learn about different MPUA's techniques and strategies in the game how a lot of them seem to contradict them self.

e.g. Gamblers stealth attraction when he talks about micro-escalation you lean in. However Mystery method tells you to never lean in?

I was just wondering if any fellow gamers are finding many of these contradictions confusing? dont know which to follow? Any thoughts and opinions on this topic would be much appreciated.

The methods really don't contradict themselves.

In your example, Mystery says not to lean in because you don't want to seem aggressive/needy/easy. Gambler's "lean in" is really more of a "close the distance" sort of lean, to establish sexual tension. Mystery method doesn't do a lot of that, as far as I'm aware, but both ways work. You take your pick, whichever suits your personality.

Some of the best advice I have gotten is to not try and learn all the different styles simultaneously. This will lead you to feeling very confused and overwhelmed. I remember being at this point myself.

Focus on learning just one style, make it yous, and sign off on it. Try to understand the reasons why the techniques of the method work.

Once you have a good understanding of the concepts of the method, only then should you start learning another method, and focus 100% on that method.

The different methods are based on different theories and work for different reasons. I think it's important as you go along to try and understand why and how the different techniques work.

In my opinion, I believe it's a great thing to have different styles of pick up. As the saying goes, "Different strokes for different folks."

Pick the method that best resembles how you are as a PUA or better yet, a person in general. Something that's easy and comfortable for you to learn.

If you're the type of person that isn't into being so agressive, then choose to learn Mystery's method first. If you like to be close to those you talk to, and you like to get real personal with them, choose Gambler's method.

I think there is a misunderstanding here. When you initially talk to a girl you don't lean in. But once you notice that the girl is really into the conversation, you reward her by leaning in. From that moment on you can lean in as much as you want.

I think most of these things are just nuances.

You can go either way with it, so long as you're doing it for the right reasons.

DonPUA hit it on the head....you don't want to appear needy at the start, so don't lean in the beginning. Once in the comfort-building phase, you start leaning in to help slowly close the distance, until you can start kino.
