I recently went out with a girl to get something to eat & drink. She has one of those 'I am a strong woman'-personalities (Which is amusing cause she's this adorable little girl that looks like she couldn't even buy her own clothes.) So I paid for the lunch and the 5 minutes of us walking to a meeting place (meeting some friends) were filled with her trying to prove to me that she could've easily paid for her own meal, blablabla.

Now, to get to the routine.

We passed some stores, and one of them had a stand with a bunch of key-chains.
Girl: blabla, I can pay for my own, blabla [interrupt]
Zero: Buy me that.
Girl: ..What?
Zero: That key-chain, buy me that.
Girl: .. ..Okay.

So she bought if for me. (I wasn't pointing at one specifically, so I have silver kittens attached to my keys right now, but whatever.)

-She was very happy about it.
-We met again two days ago and both her friends asked if they could see it, and she talked about it for quite some time. Seemed proud of it.
-I got a key-chain

Basically, if you can get a girl to buy something for you (something small, cheap, daily) in a situation similar to mine, that seems to be a pretty good routine.

I dont know what it is that makes men think they have to pay for everything, I use to make this same exact mistake. When i sat down and thought about it, all of the girls ive gone out with or had interactions with have offered to pay the first date. The only reason they wanted stuff later on is because i conditioned them to become spoiled which was a mistake i use to make.

DONT MAKE THIS MISTAKE MEN! Do not even buy a girl a drink at the clubs unless you are using it for the betterment of a routine.

The only time I buy a girl a drink is when I have to open a tab at the bar. Hell, even then I feel like I'm giving them way too much power. So I always tell the girl upfront and direct to not feel special.

Back to OT: I have no car, and I'm usually short on cash. I get a lot of girls to pick me up for dates and buy me the stuff. We're the prize, remember?

The reason you don't buy a girl a drink (or something else) exists at the start of an interaction, when hoop theory and shit tests are still very active, and she's still assessing your frame and your perception of both of your values.

After you've known each other for a little while, there's no need for an alarm to go off inside your head whenever the question of who's paying arises, especially if you've got a fair bit of money. It even becomes a good thing when you pay for a girl, and don't act like it is even of the slightest relevance to your life. You might be paying for her, but that's not important for you, so she hasn't won anything, she'll still have to win you over.

Remember, there's nothing wrong with being a provider, as long as you're a lover first.


@M_j_f: Yes, "We're the prize", and it's a great thing to get a girl invested, but paying doesn't have to be directly related to that. (If you're a little short on money I understand, I have the ~luck~ of having been a huge nerd when I was 12-15, so besides my education I make ridiculous amounts of money for only a few hours work.)
