Location: Country Bar
Alright so after a somewhat dissapointing week, last weekend my wing Luke and I decided to hit up the same country bar yet again last night. I hate to admit it, but Im sadly becoming a regular at this place since Luke and I have gone there our last 6 times out.
Anyways, my goal for the night was to sarge without getting a buzz from alcohol. The last few weeks I've been out I've had between 4-6 beers and I felt its been effecting my sports life. Therefore I decided I was only going to drink 2 beers tops. As well, I decided to go a little out of my comfort zone as far as peacocking goes and I wore 2 mardi gras beaded necklaces. I thought it would be fun to test out. Anyways, so we get to the bar and enter the lineup around 10:15ish. Its not too big, but for some reason it was atleast a 20 minute wait to get inside. However, while we were waiting in line I decided to open up the mixed 3 set in front of us consisting of a couple of HB6s and guy. I opened them just to get into the social state more so then to game. It seemed clear that the guy was interested in one of the HB6s, and he seemed pretty cool so I wasn't going to do anything but use this group as social proof for once we were inside. Despite that though I felt flat during the set after about 5-10 mins of banter. It felt like I just ran out of things to say. But oh well...As well after the 3 set got in ahead of us I opened up the mixed 3 set behind us. 2 guys and an HB8.5. I was just being C+F like I usually am and one of the guys thought I was hilarious which is important for later...
So Luke and I get in the bar. I grab a beer and Im looking for sets to open but theres nothing in our general vicinity. So we head out to the patio where there usually good sets to open. After a few mins out there where theres nothing we head back inside. I start to get the feeling of AA building up and I know thats not a good thing. However, as soon as this was happening I was lucky enough to run into an old friend I hadn't seen in a while. So I started to shoot the shit with him. While I was doing this I encouraged Luke to go open sets. But he was stricken with AA badly. Anyways, I shoot the shit with my buddy old friend for a bit and we keep getting interupted by girl friends of his coming up to him all the time. He tells me he'll hook me up if I want, because his girlfriend is on her way so he cant do anything lol. Some of these girls are HB8-9s so I knew if worse came to worse he could help me out. After shooting the shit for abit I grab beer #2 and tell myself thats it for the night. Luke and I head outside for a little de-brief. He tells me he cant open to save his life tonight. I try to encourage him, but I could tell he was a lost cause for the night.
After trying to encourage him I notice a mixed 3 set standing by us and their taking a picture. The set is an Non-HB, a guy and a HB7.5. So after they take their picture I just walk into the set and sort've grab the camera and start analyzing the photo they took in a C+F manner. They thought it was funny and immeaditely the HB7.5 wants to take a picture with me. After that the Non-HB friend leaves and im now working a 2 set with the guy and the HB7.5. I immeaditely start befriending the guy by telling him hes wearing a sick t-shirt. Give him a high 5. I could tell he was a little drunk and he started spouting off some philosophy of life. Thats when I decided to test out a routine a saw Mystery use in his "Holy Grail of Pickup" video. I started talking about how a girl friend of mine told me the avg. human lives 28, 251 days and it just caused me to have an epiphany. I felt the routine was successful for me. It was sort of deep, but more importantly it was just something interesting to talk about. Shortly after that the HB7.5 is clearly more interested in me than the other guy and he can sense it to. However, he tries to #-close her anyways right in front of me. She gives me this wink and mouths "hes just a friend" to me, and she gives him her number so he can go away.
Now Im all alone and its me and the HB7.5. I realize that Luke pretty much disappeared, but we had talked earlier, and decided that if I was ever working a set well that he would just do his own thing. Because at this point were not good enough to work well in sets together. Basically he is petrified of conversation that all hes been doing before was DLV me by just standing around beside me. So the good friend he is, he ejected for me. I feel like a piece of shit though because I want to help him out so badly, but his inner game is so jacked up right now he cant bring himself to converse much at all during sets. (Im gonna create another topic elsewhere asking what I can do to help him)
So as I was saying, Im all alone with this HB7.5 on the patio. Its clear that she is attracted to me. She grabs one of my beaded necklaces and says "I like your beads". I just say "No you dont, your just attracted to me" (credit to Mystery again). She doesnt deny it and just laughs. She asks if she can wear them. But I tell her only one. She asks for the gold ones, but I tell her only the green necklace for now. We continue to build comfort. Kino is just flowing naturally. Its obvious that a K-Close is imminent. For the most part Im just going natural, but since Im pretty much sober I notice that my whole demeanor is completely different then when I have a little buzz going on. Im a little more calm and deliberate when I speak. Im fun going and have a good energy but I'm not too high energy like I usually am. I talk a little less and allow more room for her to speak as well.
While building comfort I decide to take a seat and she follows and sits beside me. I realize its time to start getting her to qualify to me. After a little bit of AFC "get to know you sort've talk I ask her, "whats a classy girl like you doing in a place like this?" So she starts qualifying herself and telling me about her job and such. She tells me shes very independant and supports herself right now. (I never asked her age but I have to think shes prolly 23ish. Im only 20 so thats pretty cool.) Im sort've bouncing around here, but during the conversation she says, "you know your very interesting. You make me laugh". Anyways, I can tell by just looking at her that she wants me to kiss her. Shes kino'ing me hard I've done everything I can think of. So I decide to ask her the Mystery K-Close "Do you want to kiss me?" She responds with "Do you want to kiss me?" lol...but quickly adds "of course I want you to kiss me". Boom. K-Close! So we have a quick little makeout and I stop and say "thats all you get for now". After that she suggests we hit up the dance floor...
On the way to the dance floor I run into my old friend again and start talking to him. The HB7.5 is grabbed by her other Non-HB friend from before and informs her that their other friend is puking. So she has to go play big sister right now. So I shoot the shit for a few minutes then go to find Luke. Unfortunately I find him just sitting at the bar. He hasn't opened a single set. I tell him about my success and I try to encourage him to open but he wont. Thats when were approached from the guy we met in the lineup earlier in the night and he is hammered and decides he wants to buy us shots. I really didnt want to drink anymore, but he pretty much forced us to accept his offer. So we did a couple shots with him. I offered to pay for the 2nd round but he refused! lol. After that I saw the HB7.5 she was about to leave because her friend who was puking was getting kicked out of the bar. She tells me though she wants to dance with me. So we head to the dance floor and dance for abit. However, her non-HB friend keeps calling her so I tell her "look you gotta go be big sister right now. I completely understand. It sucks, but you have to." I felt it was important for me to say this because it not only shows non-neediness, but it shows Im not selfish and I know her friend needs her more than I need her. So I #-Close her and K-Close her a few more times before she leaves and she tells me "text me right away so I have your number".
And that was pretty much the night. Luke and I hung around for about 15 minutes longer, but I wasnt really in the sarging mood anymore and I could tell he wanted to leave. So we left. Im pretty happy with the result of the night and Im going to follow up on this #-Close. Hopefully something comes out of it.
