I haven't been able to find a straight answer to this anywhere; what's a good tried-and-true pickup method for beginners?
I don't exactly mean a canned routine, I'm more talking about a structure I can work with, like Opener > Neg > DHV > Kino > etc. so I'm actually learning, not reciting.
I'm very new to this (just finished reading The Game) and it's confusing the hell outta me - everywhere I turn there's information at a price and after reading Neil's book I'm really hesitant to shell out money to someone who could be full of crap.
So if there's a link you could direct me to or some information that helped you as a newbie that you wouldn't mind sharing, I'd be extremely thankful.
Cheers, OHG
p.s I've already done the newbie mission, it went rather well

Is every song formed the same way and played by the same instruments?
With every woman different things have to be done. There is no formula, precisely, its just you being able to react appropriately to the situation at hand. It also helps if you've got some cool things to talk about and good things to say. Everything you say IS material, whether you think it is or not. If someone asks you where you work, BAM, make that a routine. Somehow, make that interesting.
For me routines are what I saw last week, the cat I met yesterday, the weird man on the bus today. You can literally make new routines and use new ones everyday. Obviously there are some things that I do use a lot, but thats usually because I can't think of anything to say. Worst comes to worst I'll just talk about some shit I looked up on wikipedia and get all excited about it and then gentle neg if shes not interested too.
Great way to open is just asking a question or telling a story.
REMEMBER!!! this is me and what works with me. if this isn't you're style then don't do it because i can't explain to you all the little intricacies of how I communicate.
Find who you are first, if you haven't already, and then figure out the best way to showcase that properly.
