I have been noticing more and more that many of the conventional "rules" for engaging / closing are becoming more and more popular and that women are becoming more aware of them. Following them can sometimes actually be detrimental for your game. Any thoughts?

Have you experienced it? Because for now it all sounds like a bunch of bullshit assumptions.

You cannot break the rules until you know how to break them.

If you arent getting the results you want by following the rules, you probably arent following them in a correct way. Basically you havent mastered the method.

So you look for the easy way out, to stop following the rules and go back to being whatever you were before and hope that its gonna be better from now on. But you will just get what you always got because you havent come far enough yet.

SO learn to follow the rules, understand what they are for. Once you have mastered it you know what rules to break and what rules to bend. Above all, you know how to break the rules.

I can break the rules, you cant. Not yet.
