Diamonds/Bling: Good for peacocking?

Does anyone have experience with or thoughts on wearing diamonds or expensive jewelry?

I had a diamond ring made, it's over 2 carats and VERY blingy. I wanted it for myself; has nothing to do with game or trying to peacock. But I'm curious if wearing stuff like this can help or hurt your game.

i wear 'blingy' accessories, i think it does contribute to peackocking, especially if its big and bright enough, girls will comment on it, and so will the guys!!
