Hey Guys,

New to the board but not an AFC.

Magic Bullets (EBOOK) by SiN is worth every penny... It covers mostly MM but in reasonably good detail, with many pointers tips. Helped me a great deal in the beginning.

The Game by Neil Strauss aka Style is what helped me take my first steps into seduction. It's not exactly instructional but it does push you towards your goal, introduce you to the PUA terms, and you can grab some useful information and techniques from the book.

I found the pickupin3days ebook is good, loads of good examples to use and gimmicks and games to use that work a treat.

Argh! Information overload... Seriously, this is a lot to take in at once.

Okay, what is the best STARTER book for someone who needs A LOT of work with their inner game, and some with their outer (or at least recognizing errors they make). I have Asperger's Syndrome, so I'm not good with reading social interactions/knowing what appropriate action to take, and I need help with reading social cues and improving my own body language/social intelligence. I suck at small talk. And I need a place to begin.

Also... What about Unstoppable Confidence? For someone who's only slept with like 4 girls in his entire life, like me, and has severe self esteem issues from an abusive childhood, I need to know what would be a good recorded NLP product to pick up to start internalizing some good beliefs about myself.

And last, what book IN PRINT should I get.... I know Double Your Dating is an eBook, and I really can't see myself reading on a computer screen for long periods of time. I need something like "The Game" that was in hard-copy to start looking at.

And I'm moving to Hollywood soon, so I probably won't be using MM, since it's already been played to death over there, and I'd get recognized and/or blown out of the water.

Ok, so I've read and re-read The Game (I think that's where anyone who wants a good look into the good, the bad and the ugly sides of PU should start) and now I'm not sure whether I should go with Juggler, or MM. Anyone have a brief overview of Juggler Method?

Hmm...I was looking on Mystery's site and I didn't see the Venutian Arts book, but Magic Bullets had a couple chapters for free dl and it was all just very basic basic stuff. Does anyone have some suggestions for books that aren't by PUAs but that are the books that PUAs read to become PUAs? I need some theory, not the basics on how to run game. I want some stuff on advanced body language and psychology and maybe even a bit of NLP (but I don't want to be hypnotizing chicks to get in their pants).

Man I thought the same thing, but I got a copy anyways. I sat down for 6 hours and read it in one sitting. The stuff in it is gold. However its not a "starter book" for building game. Rather it enhances your existing game. If I could describe it in a sentence I'd say "It will teach you how women think and how to think like them in any situation".

As for books:
"The Game" - Style
This gives an overview of the entire PUA scene and all the different branches. You can pick your route from here or have an idea of what's out there.

"Mystery Method(MM)" - Mystery
I'd say this provides the "skeleton" for all new comers game. It gives you the basics and a lot of theory on the evolutionary psychology of attraction/seduction. It's written like a text book and Mystery himself calls it a 'encyclopedia' for reference.

"Double Your Dating" - David DeAngelo
I got this because it compliments my existing style of game(C&F) I naturally developed in my AFC days. As I said above, it supplements existing knowledge.

"HOW TO BECOME AN ALPHA MALE" by JOHN ALEXANDER

Get 18 copies of that, print them out, and paste it all over your house.
Best book ever written on the subject.

Introducing NLP by Joseph o'Connor, Mastering Your Hidden Self by Serge Kahili King, Art of Seduction by Robert Greene, The Red Queen by Matt Ridley, and Influence by Robert Cialdini. I haven't read any of them but they are the books that Style recomends every AFC starts with.

I read MM and the game. Im now reading the art of seduction, it really talks about the philosophy of seduction, which you might find boring, but if you are like me, who is totally socially impaired IT REALLY HELPS. I knew technique greatly but was missing something that didn't make me mechanical and i could say that i found it in this book.

The missing peice that changed me from robotic PUA to artist of seduction. It is more than just a couple of prcceeses and steps they re is a mindset to it as well that this book helps set. plus this book gives you the fundamental so that you can mess around and improve technique.

Enjoy take my word

I could not believe how long it took for The Game to be mentioned. That I believe should be the starting point for anyone interested in PU. I bought it maybe 6 weeks ago and even though I have not finished it yet. It has already changed my life. I am a bottom of the barrel AFC and for the first time I have been able to get girls to give me Kino through negs, knowing when to lead, cocky/funny etc... I just feel more comfortable, even if I have an awkward moment I can usually recover. It is not much but school really handicaps my time to go out. Anyway, I will likely buy 5-6 more books on PU. But in 10 years I will look back and know that it was The Game that started it all.

I've been studying the mystery's The Mystery Method. He just put this book out after the show came to Vh1. In it he talks about "peppering in" some techniques, negs, attraction builders, and other stuff. But by peppering in, that means you've gotta have something to throw pepper into. So for that i recomend a book called Make Every Girl Want You. It's only necessary for the conversation ideas. I won't recomend you to take its approaches because its all pretty much AFC stuff. But when they talk about taking mental notes and how to listen and yada yada it helps. You get to show the girl a down to earth side of you right before you tell her about nearly being attacked by a bear while hiking in Canada with your old man. the combination should send mixed signals and she wont be able to pin you to anything. It makes you more interesting.

Just bought Robert Cialdini's "Influence: Science and Practice" which is basically a revised version of his "Influence: The Power of Persuasion". It covers topics like social proof and scarcity and what roles they play in persuasion. This was recommended by Neil Strauss at a conference and skimming through it looks like it's loaded with a lot of good information. Looking forward to this one.

I also got the condensed version of Napoleon Hill's "How to Sell Your Way Through Life" which actually reads like a PUA e-book. i.e. List of Qualities a Master Salesman Must Develop: Knowledge in the merchandise he sells, belief in the merchandise or service, knowledge of the prospective buyer, a pleasing personality, self control, initiative. Napoleon Hill was the Mystery of his day!

I'll post a followup after I'm done reading.
