Okay so first off I am pretty new to the game, and so this forum...


I recently met a girl through a friend of mine and I knew she was interested, the day after I met her I added her on facebook and she initiated a conversation with me before asking me for my phone number (IOI?) by the end of the chat. we continued to text the next couple of days too when she asked me if i wanted to go for coffee (IOI?) and i accepted.

Coffee went well and we continued to talk. we met up for drinks at the weekend which went well but the evening ended prematurely when she had to go not really giving me hardly any time for me to make a move. i sent her a text later that night something like "i quite like you, you know " not eluding too much and after a few drinks. she replied saying that it was silly too say that before seemingly ignoring me for two days! after two days she came out and said that she was planning on surprising me on my birthday with a romantic gesture and that's why she was avoiding me?!.... (my birthday is tomorrow)

earlier today she started flipping out at me for no reason at all and i didnt want to bow down and apologize having made mistakes like that in previous relationships.. she is also constantly shit testing me and trying to make me jealous.

so i needed some help on how too handle the situation - yes i'm a bit of a newbie, i appreciate it if you could read it and reply as it is a long post.

what should i be reading into/looking out for?

Personally I'd just ignore her untill tomorrow, she's bound to get in touch as it's your birthday.

Nothing major, talking about other guys being hot to try and get a reaction out of me and when I told her I couldn't meet up with her once she acted as if she had other options, all be it in a slightly joking manner.

Yeah up to that point I'd approached everything in the right way, flirting but not giving too much away. Have I given her the upper hand by saying that?

Also do you think I should try and lay down the rules, I dont want her to think she can always get her way etc.

I only lay some rules down when in a proper relationship, for now I'd just enjoy yourself.


With her shit tests, aim is, act like your not bothered, sometimes don't even answer, there's no need, it actually gets to the girl knowing she can't get at you.

I wouldn't say she has the upper hand, she knows you like her a bit yes. Just don't go mentioning it again.

Yeah with the shit tests, I always keep a cool head and just seem unfazed.
