So I work in a big corporate setting and I have a had a thing for this girl in another division that I see once in a while. She always give me a big fuck me smile whenever we pass eachother and we usually just have a quick hello. The thing is that she is the assistant to my ex girfriend who I date for two years but have been split up for about a year now. The ex is away on vacation so I thought it would be a good time to try to get something going.

So last day or two we have been emailing back and forth and she seemd really into me so I asked her out to meet my friends and I for happy hour at a local bar that a lot of people from work usually go. She said she she has a friend from out of town visitng for the weekend and they had dinner plans and what not but "next time for sure".

How do you proceed from here?? Its a delicate situation cause of work and the ex at all so I dont want to be kinda smooth about it.

Well Carmo, proceed with caution (obviously). First off work environment situations get messy (lol), and the ex-girlfriend is rough as well.

If I were in this situation, I would wait a little while for a next time. Make it very obvious to HER that you are going out and having fun, without telling her or inviting her. Maybe invite a close friend of hers and maybe that friend will have your girl tagging along.

Idk if you two have established a good rapport yet, but if you have, break it a little. Stop saying hi and keep on your way. If you haven't make sure she missed a hell of a time and make sure it's complete with pictures of you with beautiful women and your in.
