What are you thoughts on blind dates? A friend gave me the number of this girl who wants to "fuck the shit out of me," but I've never met her in my life. She's 18 (I'm 22) and has seen my band play a few times, I got her name/number after my friend told me that and thought I'd try and do a little investigating before texting her to see how hot she was (man that sounds shallow!), but she doesn't seem to have Facebook (the only social networking site I use), and only a private MySpace account where I could just see the one picture.

It was hard to tell if she'd live up to my standards or not, her face looked to be around a 6 or 7 I guess but I couldn't see much, and I don't really trust girls opinions on other girls (they say she's petite and really hot). Is there any way you guys would recommend me to go about this without leading her on and then bailing? I don't want to hurt the girl, but I wouldn't like to miss out on her if she does turn out really hot either.

Also, what's a good first text to someone like that? My usual favourite is, "Stop smiling just because I sent you a text!" but if she has no idea who's texting her (which I imagine she won't) then that may not work as well..?

Hey man, if you don't try you'll never know =) Call her up and talk for a few minutes (I"ve noticed that texting girls I'm not too familiar with tends to end up blowing up in my face, but that's just me) Treat her to a good time, if you're interested, proceed to the next step, if you're not then she'd probably make a kickass friend either way =D Mayhaps someone else might have better advice, those are my 2 cents, gud luck sir

A friend give you the number...to me theres an easy solution, dont call dont text.

If your performing again soon say to your friend to let her know, she can come along and chill with you guys after you finish, when you finish you go down, talk to her, if your attracted, go from there, if not just put her in the friend zone.
