referring to the hb9 and hb10s, their looks have gotten them so far in life and they have no backing for it. They say things that have no backing other than that's what their parents raised them to believe.
Some how they have these perfect bodies, and drink like its their birthday every night. They don't eat right and smoke cigarettes all day.
Maybe I'm jealous because I have to spend 6 hours in the gym each week for the past 5 years to have a semi-presentable body, and when they ask me to go out with them I have to decline because I would lose what I had gained during the week of lifting.
/rant?
I won't comment on the main questions, seeing as everyone else already did. But why would you lose what you have gained when you go out? Loads of buddies of mine workout and have massive muscles, and they go out and drink. Nothing wrong with it. They workout like 3-4 times a week though.
Also, you don't HAVE to drink when you go out.
I'm what you call a pure ectomorph, it's a body type that wants to be as straight as a ruler. I have tiny wrist, ankles, and bone structure, yet I'm 6'0. Before I started working out I was 123lbs and 6'0. I would eat like a "normal" person. 2500 Calories a day.
I am now 173lbs and 6'0 and eat over 6000 calories a day for the past 5 years. Drinking, dehydrates you, muscles are 90% water, thus losing muscle. Unfortunately I'm an addict and if I have one drink I'm going to continue drinking til I'm drunk. For reference I eat 8 meals a day, if I skip 2 meals one day and weigh in at the gym the next day I'm going to be down a pound or 2, if I do this for a week, I'll lose 10lbs. I went on a road trip with a friend for 5 days, I weighed 172 before the trip, we ate fast food the entire trip at the same time, same amount of food was consumed, except I ate peanut butter and milk before bed and SPAM right when I woke up. I lost 5lbs over 5 days, he gained 6lbs.
The people I know, who have invited me to go out, actually put me down if we go out and I don't drink. At this point in my life I just want to get my business off and running, finish my degree, and buy the cars I want. I've got a game plan and women just don't seem to fit in.
If I were able to find a beautiful supportive girlfriend, so be it. But a needy, self-centered, party like it's your birthday every night isn't for me.
