Recently I met a 2 set, They asked me to buy them a drink and I said I will buy rounds 2-3 if they buy round 1 and they agreed after a little bit of reluctancy.

So my question is did I lower my value buy offering them more than they offered me or was it a DHV that they wanted to stay with me for longer?

Yeah, I would say you DLV'd.

In future, offer to buy round two if they buy round one. If they agree, then it is even footing. You did not DHV or DLV, but don't buy two girls a drink if you only get one- make it even!

If it is damn obvious that they just want a free drink, say to them 'Okay, you buy me one now and I will get you free drinks all night.'

When you finish your free drink, go to the toilets, fill it up with water (from the sink, I hope!) and hand it over.

Either go C&F or just humiliate them, depending on what you think your chances are.

Never buy or pay for anything with a woman until you have sex with her. Period. Instead of buying a round, do a cool bar bet (one that you can't lose), and get them to buy you a drink. Saying "I'll buy one if you buy one", is too much negotiation. If she buy's your drink, she's made an investment in your interaction, and people hate walking away from an investment. the more money and time she invest, the harder it will be for her to walk away without something to show for it, i.e. a phone number or your penis.
