Yes, like why I should be afraid that the government could find out if I've read Catcher in the Rye or not.
Look, I'm not getting into this discussion again. I'm posting this and not looking at the replies.

Pervasive government surveillance is far from being a good thing...
99% of people using facebook have no idea about the driving forces behind it. They signed up and use it under false pretenses. They are completely unaware of how anything they do on the site is being documented.
Think of the private conversations people have on the instant messaging application, unbeknown that every word is quite possibly being stored in a database somewhere. These people don't realize they signed a consent form that allows facebook or whatever third party to use any and all submitted data in whatever way they please.
Knowing this information I still use facebook, but with some decency and reason, unlike millions of oblivious sheep.
The video above presents nothing but facts, I would hardly call it paranoia.
Read George Orwell's '1984 and compare it to the video.
It's something you'd expect from an oppressive, socialist, totalitarian government, not with democracy. It completely goes against our rights to privacy, something I highly respect.
Democracy will inevitably become, if it hasn't already, just an illusion of freedom.
