This girl is a 10, she's 16 (I'm 19) and we've been talking for a couple of weeks. I'll post the actual messages we sent if you wanna see what was said, but if not just read this one and I'll try and explain what happened. Also, this is pretty long, if you want the main problem just read the last few bits.

First I used my usual opener, then we got talking, I disqualified her by saying I normally go for blondes (she's brunette) and that got us having fun arguing when I said I thought blondes were more fun.

We then started chatting on the actual chat thing, she actually started talking to me first, and after a bit she told me "what was all that about blondes are more fun? lol" and we started arguing again. She was telling me I was rude for saying she wasn't as fun as a blonde, so I told her because I didn't know her I couldn't say, and that she would have to prove me wrong before I'd change my mind. She said I should meet her, I ignored it the first time (knowing that shes probably got loads of guys that would jump at the chance to meet her) and she carried on by saying "I'm not gonna beg LOL".

So I could tell I'd done my job and that she wanted to meet me. I mentioned that I would be out at the weekend and that she should come. She then said she had to wait to see what was going on with this other guy. I asked if he was her bf, she said no. So I asked what was going on, and she said "it's really complicated, I'll see him tomorrow so I'll see". The next day she started talking to me on Facebook chat again. After a while I asked if she'd found out what was going on with this guy, she said she didn't know. So I told her she was shit, and that she had to hurry up and find out, and she laughed and said she would that night.

A couple of days later I send a message asking if she's sorted it out, and again she hasn't. SO I just told her to stop fucking about and soret it out, she said its not her fault he's being a nob, blah blah blah. Anyway she said she doesn't see why I can't wait, and I told her I don't see what's so complicated. My last message told her that I cba to argue, told her to sort it out, and then I said MAYBE I will meet her. That wasn't that long ago.

Now, I don't know what to do about this. I guess it shows she's trustworthy, but she's waiting for this guy and even though he's being a 'nob' he's got a hold on her somehow. Is there any way I can pull her away from him? I think I could do it if I met her face to face, but for some reason she wants to wait to see what happens with this guy. It was her that came up with the idea of meeting too, which is what confuses me. Help please guys?

You realize that cultivating any kind of relationship besides friendship with her is illegal right?

For that reason, I'm not going to bother reading the rest of the post because all I could possibly help you do is land you in jail for one girl that's 100% not worth that.

Putting all legalities aside, you're laying on the the pressure way too thick. She obviously has some issues going on with the other guy, but all you're doing is complicating them by making her feel bad by complaining about how you haven't met yet. That's really needy and will most definately push her away.

Try being low-pressure and fun. An escape from her stressful existance with the other guy. She will begin to confide in you as the other guy seals his own fate.

Not necessarily... It depends on the laws of the state/country. In many of them 16 is the legal age of consent.

Dude, don't push her that much. Makes you seem needy when you keep giving her reasons why she should see you so you can have an "awesome" time.

Give it a rest. Let her sort her problems out. And in the future, instead of asking "when should we meet, when should we meet?!" - ask her "Have u sorted out that problem of yours" or whatever you make it sound like.

When she finally says "yes", she is practically saying "yes" to meeting you as well.

Thanks guys. Looking at it now yeah I can see that I was being a bit pushy and a bit needy. I actually sound like a bit of a cunt. It kind of annoyed me with her saying that she's waiting for another guy, I should have handle it better than I did. What would you suggest I do now guys? She hasn't replied from the last message yet by the way. Maybe wait a few days and offer a more low pressure way of her meeting me? Or just completely leave it and wait for her to get in touch? I'm stuck here.

Oh and here in the UK it is legal from the age of 16.

Still initiate contact with her, but in a friendly and non-threatening manner. Don't bring up meeting again. Maybe in time, she'll drop a hint about wanting something more than online chat. Just have to pay attention for & play it cool when she does.

I'd give it some time. In the mean time, show her by your status messages that your off having a fun and exciting life. Write on her wall, like a status message of her's, comment on one of her status messages. Show her how much of a fun guy you are without having to pressure her into meeting you. Eventually this other guy will seal his own fate and you'll be good go. Don't show her that this other guy is getting to you!
