I've been wondering what everyone's thoughts are about chatroulette.com.

It's this random chat thing where you can do audio/video/text chat with a random person and if you get bored, hit NEXT, and you get reconnected to someone else, and it continues NEXT, NEXT, NEXT in a rather addicting way.

Of course, it will NEVER replace the all-holy act of GOING OUTSIDE AND MEETING PEOPLE. Long live the Sarge! haha.

But I wonder if people with major rejection issues (like I used to have), could benefit from getting on the website and just practice talking to people.

I've known people in the past that were absolutely TERRIFIED to start convos with strangers. Maybe chatroulette can be a first step for those extreme cases?

You can't overcome that fear by being on chatroulette. I'd say that the approaching anxiety is only triggered when you're about to open a set with at least one girl in it, and on the internet, there are only GIRLS(Guys In Real Life). It doesn't give the same kind of rush either, and you will be horribly surprised if you try to open a set in real life, expecting similar reactions as encountered in chatroulette, and suddenly realise that it isn't at all as it is in chatroulette.

And btw, 90% of the people using chatroulette are probably pedophiles.

I'd advise you to stay away, fair enough if you find a few girls and have some decent conversations, but it's mostly full of guys trying to "get" you.

They are able to exploit it by playing porn video's through their webcam making you think it's some girl stripping for you.

So beware.
