So I'm a little disappointed that no one went along my lines of thought.

The guys talking in the first commercial are obviously a bunch of weak chodes that act like a disgrace to men in general.
To have to lay on your back and show your vulnerability only to get to do one thing that you really want.
They act like suckers in life only to take all their aggression out when they hide between tinted windows and a Hemi V8.
Don't be one of them! Be a real man!

The second one is obviously meant as a funny spoof, it promotes feminism in a rather aggressive way, I'm sure a lot of the teenage members on this forum used words such as dikes or lesbians to describe it. Feminism is a great concept with a horrible reputation but let's not go in to that hegemony. (I'm pretty sure Chief alread brought that up anyways in one of his posts)

My thought about the second one went a different direction though, I was thinking, "Here are a bunch of women living together with men who has missed the most important part of both pick up and how to treat your woman"
LEARN TO LISTEN these women are obviously not happy with their position in life, and as many women do they won't give it straight to their men, women usually don't do this, they give small cues to their men, hoping that the men will figure it out for themselves.

So what did we learn?
1. Be a man, stand up for what you do, and don't roll over every time you are dissatisfied, do something about it!

2. In order to pick up the women of your dreams or to be in a healthy relationship, you have to listen, listen to what she wants, learn who she is!
Listening will make you not only a better pick up artist but also a better man! If you listen to what she says, the you increase the chances of saying something valuable back to her!

Good points Sly. As always.

I particularly like the point you make about learning to listen. I think I am one of the most oblivious persons alive when it comes to this stuff. Like I can listen till I'm blue in the face and I won't understand the woman anyway.. :S

Is there anything specific to listen for? Like, I know this would make a serious difference to my conversations with women.

At the moment I'd say I'm doing quite well with pick-up. But if there's one thing missing from my game it's listening, or should I say hearing.

It's one thing to listen...but hearing the underlying message, that is where the gold is.

With those 2 ads; I totally agree with the guys sounding like they come from a lower place. Letting a woman run all over them so they can have 1 passion. It's just an AFC fest.

Yes and no, you should listen to specific cues that can help you advance with her later but what those are is different from woman to woman.

If you are in to NLP you will learn more advanced ways to recognize what to listen for, but the important thing is to remember: When she talks you are supposed to learn something about her!
