K this has happened a couple times. I number close but it doesn't seem as solid as it should be. Like they give you the number cause they don't wanna turn you down face 2 face but they start ignoring you after a text or call. I got a number last night and i want to tread lightly. Where do I go from here? I haven't called/texted yet.

You probably need to start building more attraction and/or comfort before you go for the number close. How long are you staying in the set before you try to close?

The reason is that your game before the close is not good enough, or long enough.

You are up at the level where you feel comfortable so she cannot just reject you, it feels wierd, so she flakes.

Just keep practicing and you will get there. When she seems to invest in the conversation it is a good sign that you can get a non flakey number...

well your prbly a nice guy and thats why they probably don't tell you "i can't give you my number" or "fuck off"... however, everyone here is right.. your not gaming well enough before going for the number close... i dont know what your doing wrong, but the phone number should be a product of the conversation.. you shouldn't really start a conversation in order to get a phone number.... try finidng something that the girl is passionate about during hte conversation and have an input on it.. base it on that. . instead of the same ol' so where you from, how u been, blah blah... what works for me alot of the time, is i ask her, "so where do u see yourself like 10 years from now." and then i start talking about that... just talk about stuff she cares about.. thats how u build a connection..
