Start off with any number of openers listed on this web site, and just practice opening and leading into your strength of conversation.
In my experience observational openers work best, but you need a certain level of comfort to be using them effectively.
With enough practice you'll be able socially calibrate to any situation (white, black, asian), like a good stand up comic does. Movies like Borat and people like Russel Peters have taught us, that you can say just about anything if you know how to say it right.
Get out in the field, and I know your gonna rock it hard!
