I'm not sure what you're asking but this is how I usually handle facebook stuff.

I have heard of people not liking facebook because girls can go on there and write on your wall, and ruin your game. I like to let my facebook run wild like a wild fire. Back in my single days I would friend any girl on FB that friended me and I'd let any comment ride. The more hot blonds commenting on my page the better....it was grounds to make other girls I was going on dates with know they had a lot of competition and that they weren't the only one...

Now that I am dating a girl more seriously....if I so happen to go out I typically give girls a fake name and I tell them I don't have facebook. I tell them I don't have email and that I boycott technology as a whole. I also go so far as to write down their phone numbers on a paper napkin. I think this adds to the mystery when I meet girls now. It also gets interesting when they somehow find out my real name...and I tell them my whole life is a lie.

Facebook is better for comfort building, just use FB chat.
I went through a stage of getting numbers but my facebook is set up as a social proof entity and the faster i get them on there, they can start seeing who i am, what my life is and i become more real to them.
Chat to her FB , and text her aswell, theres nothing wrong with that
