I often make some mildly involved jokes or innuendos while sarging, and I've found that every so often a girl misses a reference or doesn't get something. I'll make references to politics, current events, mythology, philosophy, and other topics but I keep it in the realm of what I consider common knowledge- Eliot Spitzer, Narcissus, cogito ergo sum... things like that. My attitude is usually "Give it time, it will come to you," said with a playful tone. I notice that they tend to feel excluded or even insulted when I say that, but when I actually explain it then we both share a moment of silent contemplation regarding our incompatible senses of humor.

Should I just sarge someone else if a girl is having trouble grasping my sense of humor? On one level I feel I should tone it down, but since the majority of girls I sarge DO get my jokes, I don't think I really need to change anything. It would be nice to have a way to deal with this rather than dumb myself down.

Ok, you and I seem to be new to this website but fortunatly I can help.

One thing that you must remember is the type of women that go to the public gathering that you are sarging. (Here is what my wingman and I do) Make up jokes w/ ur wingman and make him tell those jokes and if it goes well make sure he credits you for it (vice versa)If she doesn't understand it,you can explain it...(if she likes it,u get credited. if she doesn't then ur wingman looks bad)

Now it may seem that you are using your wingman as a shield, and he using you,but dont worry, say its an inside joke that seemed funny "at the time it was first told" (its not lying, its flirting-Mystery)

I hope that helped. Good luck.

Explaining is unnecessary and not only it won't contribute to the conversation, it will make the conversation less attractive.
Just move on to the next topic/routine/or even neg her about it transitioning to some cold read or whatever.

Maybe it is a good thing if they do or don't get your jokes. I personally wouldn't want a woman that can't keep up with my own humor or intellect. It's a good test if you ask me.

Take every reply into consideration but I forgot to mention that if you're looking for a wife then go with VanHaven's advice. If your looking for a one night stand go with SpeXXX's advice, and if your looking for a relationship go with mine. It all depends on what you want out of your sarge.

When I respond with a neg I find that they feel I have insulted their intelligence, but just moving on to the next topic seems like a good idea.

HB: Um, what?
PUA: Oh, that's just this thing. So last week I...

She'll be a little off-put but it's better than crashing and burning. The fact that she didn't get the joke is probably enough of a neg, though it hits her sense of intelligence and not her physical attractiveness.
