I'm very new to all this PUA stuff and never approached a girl so don't exactly have a lot of experience to draw on..

It seems to me that most of the PUA stuff (especially the use of gambitts and Mystery stuff) just wouldn't work on girls in the uk? They seem far too "cyncial" to allow themselves to be gamed in these ways? e.g.I'm just readin now about using an opening along the lines of "hey, a friend of mine has pics of his ex laying around the place, and his current gf wants hiim to get rid, what do you think?".

Anyone have any thoughts on this?

It works here mate, no problems. The only difference is, when you tell an opener like the jealous girlfriend opener, you will find allot of the girls (at least the various ones I've asked) will agree that burning the photos is ok, and that speaking with the ex is not ok. Becides from that, the set opens no problems.
Though, aim for students and try to keep away from chavs. They are better gamed with a couple of shots and in the back ally of a night club.

Different approaches have different success rates in different countries/situations. In fact i think most forms of game work better as british girls get approached a lot less than american girls. I think american guys just approach more, it might have something to do with the extra confidence they have from compulsory public speaking at school. So try get out there and try some stuff, you've got nothing to lose!

well actually British girls get approached a LOT, and many British guys have solid game, so gaming might be difficult there, and you will have to deal with a lot of AMOGs, but game is fun everywhere.. enjoy

Yes, Game works in the UK.

But in general, avoid the canned openers. And the chavs, lol
