There are a lot of topics here about how to overcome failure, and a lot of guys asking about what should they do not to fuck up, or how they are afraid of doing something so they won't destroy the relationship .. blah blah

I heard a s story once, I can't find it's origin or the story itself, so I'll tell in a pretty rough way...

When a child is born it is a LION, it has no fear, it is the king of it's life, it is pure. After a time it grows a hump on it's back, this hump is the fear of death, it is now aware of life's dangers, hence it stops being a lion and becomes a camel, after some more time it grows another hump which is the fear of life, it is afraid of change of anything unfamiliar, so it gets stuck in the desert and forgets about the freedom of courage..

Most people think that they are afraid of death and they think that if they will stop fearing death or failure they will become the lion again, and hard as they try, they cannot stop fearing it, in order to stop being afraid of death, they must first realize they should stop fearing life, and live it, only then they will be able to get rid of the second hump as well, and to become a Lion once more..

well, that was from my memory, as I said i don't know if it should sound like that or no, my point is that most of the guys here that are afraid to approach or to K-close or whatever, are not afraid of rejection, they are not afraid to be alone or without the girl, they already know that feeling OW too well. They are afraid of CHANGE, they wouldn't know what to do if the girl will accept them, and actually like them because it is too far from the all "comfortable" reality they know.

get out of you're comfort zone, life has a LOT to offer you...

remember you already know how's it like to be rejected and alone, go to figure out how it feels like being wanted and attractive

...

just a thought I wanted to share

...

I agree, thats what I have been trying to tell people. Accept that it will be painful and humiliating and you will be pleasantly surprised...

Ah yes - the insidious comfort zone. I've commented on it in a few of my posts but I fully agree with you.

I liked that you alluded to the fact that depression/heartbreak/sadness are in a way a comfort zone. Because this is the only thing a lot of guys know.

Why do people have self-deprecating thoughts? Why do people put themselves down? Why do people fantasize about a girl they like breaking their hearts? It's because this is all they know. And to change that view requires pushing beyond the boundaries of what you know, and training a new voice in your head. One of confidence, strength, and happiness.

Well said,

Q.

PS - The font was a nice touch.
