I got dumped Two Months ago. It was rough, my life was i a rough spot. To move past my pain and my "oneitis" I have taken a extremely aggressive self-improvement attitude. I've been hitting the weights like a maniac, working really hard in school, bought new clothes, got a new hair style and have been doing David Deangelo's mastery series with a strong focus on Inner game and learning to love myself. But I'm still struggling, one or twice a week I will have a dream about her or see a facebook post from her and get really down. I think it's because of what I did at the end of the relationship. I've explained it in other posts but basically she wanted a break and hoped for a future, but I was tricked into thinking by a gossiping bitch she was cheating on me and made threats, rash decisions and acted like a crazy ex-boyfriend. I can't forgive myself for that, and I believe it is the root cause of my struggle, knowing I single handily ruined a possible future, and a current friendship. I don't know what else to do, do I need professional help, we dated for a year and it was my first LTR.

Anything helps.

This is so true, lol.

Yeah I like his approach. Good idea, self-improvement and such...I've actually done that too before after break-ups and other business problems I've had.

Hit the ground...RUNNIN!

when one of my gf whom i was in love with broke up with me, i had a pretty hard time too so i know it hurts a lot. I got through it by thinking about why we would not have lasted anyway and her faults.

Stop resisting, learn to accept

Pain is a natural process during change. some psycholgists argue that avoidance/resistance of pain creates mental disorders.

Deleting everything you know of her is just such avoidance.

Write her a letter, apologize to her fully for any actions YOU regret. The idea is to relieve your own pain. do not sagest one negative thing about anyone ells bar yourself. Send it to her.

This will allow you to unburden yourself of the guilt that's holding you back. You will feel down one last time after sending it, but once you pick up from that you will feel able to move on, with your head held high. And you will be.

Best advice in this thread.

Look what everybody else is giving as advice: The girl did this or did that, you should write up her bad habbits and focus on that! hurr durr. But about who are we talking, i presume the girl isnt here for the advice. right?

no, YOU are here to improve. What you did is more important than what some girl did to you, boohoo.

Most of the time it's you to blame for her reaction.
