Okay. so social psychology shows that girls look for traits in a mate that their father possesed the same as guys look for traits that their mother had. has anyone ever tried taking advantage of this. i think it could be a good tool to build rapport and comfort for a girl you've know for a little while.

I was wondering if anyone has ever tried adapting some subtle things about a girls father and how its worked. obviously you'd have to have known her for awhile. like a long time friend that's re-entered your life or trying to break out from the dreaded LFBF zone. I was thinking about trying it with this girl I knew in grade school and just met back up with in college. but i thought I'd check the forums first. If anyone has any ideas/ experience let me know! :D

Thanks guys

Actually I'm stumbling onto the same line of thinking. I've been reading "King, Warrior, Magician, Lover" (recommended by David DeAngelo) and the book basically encourages the "mature masculine". Father-ness is also a part of that.

Pretty much, women are attracted to mature men. Mature men make good fathers. A woman seeks to mate with a man of high value *because* of his ability to provide/ protect her and her offspring. So, a man that behaves like a good father does, is attractive.

It's heavy into Jungian psychology, so it basically says that men need to align themselves with the archetypes of mature manhood.

It lays out the four aspects of manhood- King, Warrior, Magician, and Lover- and describes the man- version and the boy-version of each energy. It also describes the ways that those energies can be misused, either by boys are by men. There's a lot of information in there, and it's pretty important stuff. I would suggest reading it- it's relatively short and cheap.
