I find myself ending up going up like what is your name, when it's on there name tag and I end up not doign it cuz I feel liek my openers fucked up. Any suggestions?

You could've tried this:

"Hey, I'm really glad you're wearing a tag. It'll make it easier for me to remember your name when I'm shouting it later tonight."
