Lets see, today is the 21st, so I have been Cig free for 21 days and it is still killing me. Now, it was not as bad as the 3 day hump, but this shit will not go away and it is really killing my inner game. I have been turning sets down left and right as of late!!!

All you X smokers, when I am I going to be over this. I feel myself for about an hour at a time, then i have to go kill an entire pack of gum or bag of sunflower seeds.

Please tell me there is a light at the end of the tunnel because this shit feels like hell and is draggin on forever!

Just stick with it, be proud that you've got this far with quitting. Heck, you could even try and use it as a DHV i guess :)

i could tell you all the reasons why smoking is stupid, and that'd probably make you want to do it more.

addiction is a mindset, you are in control of your mind, don't make stupid decisions based on that.

Hey, about the snus, that is how i got off of the cigs easier. But i was addicted to those too. As for everthing else, i know those are bad for me but my head is so crazy. I mean i have gained about 5lbs already because all i crave is greasy food and Im eating all the time. I would love to use this as a DHV but it is lowering my social proof becuase im figiting all the time, i speak fast, my actions are darty. If this doesnt clear up by Febuary, i think im going to go see a docter cuz as funny as it sounds, i felt healtheir on those damn things.

at 3 weeks you are totally over the nicotine addiction. i think what you are doing is creating problems to give yourself an excuse to smoke. try to concentrate on why its great to be a non-smoker

-you're less likely to die of a nasty disease
-your clothes no longer smell of shit the whole time
-you can taste your food again
-your teeth will improve
-you don't put off every girl who doesn't smoke
-you can get on with whatever it is you need to do without constant cig breaks
-your breath is better
-you are saving a lot of money which can be much better spent or saved
-you could prob add ten more of your own here

be happy to be a non-smker and you should be able to stop your bad reactions which are a subconscious attempt to make your life so difficult that you have a cigarette. also very soon (if this hasn't happened already) you will start to realise how bad second hand smoke smells and then you're home and dry as long as you stay positive.

ps for anyone who smokes check out allen carr's "easy way to quit smoking", helped me quit a long time ago.

I've been smoking for a while and then quit, now I'm an occasional smoker. I smoke when I drink alcohol or coffee, that's it.

Don't you give up now, you are almost done. When you are done, you inner game will sky-rocket for a few days, start game then.

The Wallet Inspector post is good.

I smoked for 3 years until 2 months ago when i finally decided to quit for good. It took me 2 and a half weeks until i finally realised most of it was in my head and i was able to live life as normal, smoke free :) it was the best decision i have ever made, quitting smoking.

My wing used to smoke before he met me.

I made him stop and he's never looked back.

Smoking is unattractive and unhealthy. That's all there is to it.

I don't know, Im a smoker :?

but 21 days is probably just the start of the death of your addiction

someone said after 3 weeks you're not addicted anymore and its just your mindset... complete bullshit, of course you're still addicted, so keep the strenght you had for this 21 days cause there's still a long road for you, bro...

Just to clarify getting over the chemical addiction takes roughly three days. How long it takes to get over the psychological addiction is up to you. Another benefit of not smoking is that you are physically fitter. Why not go for a run or take up a new sport or martial art? That way you can enjoy being a non-smoker and won't put on any weight.

i have a bit of experience at this at quitting myself and helping other including helping someone get over their weed addiction....
there are 2 things i recommend you need to do to help get over withdrawl!!

1) THINK OF THE POSITIVE ONLY : think of the money your saving, think that your breath will be fresher, think about being able to talk to the girl longer without having to go for a cigarette

2) IDENTIFY THE PATTERNS THAT YOU WANT A CIGARETTE THEN INTERRUPT IT!!! if you are sitting down bored and you want a cigarette go for a walk, if you are going for a mental drain which makes want to go for a cigarette try thinking about something else more posuitive think about when your next going out or openers!

think about your cigarette like a teddy bear, taking comfort with a teddy bear is a childhood habit you need when you feel low to help you feel happy but its only a false happiness that you grow beyond!

Sure all the mental tricks in the other PUA have suggested will help. But to get over the very REAL physical hump I would suggest using the patch system as directed on the box for as long as prescribed.

you will be stepping down in three nicotine increments:

21grams = 14 cigs a day for 4 weeks
14grams = roughly 7 to 10 cigs for 2weeks
07grams = 3 to 5 cigs for 6 weeks <= DO NOT CUT THIS PHASE SHORT TIME WISE! THIS IS WHERE I ALWAYS RELAPSED!

total price for all the boxes of patches is between 150 - 200 dollars from start to finish.

Also start doing cardiovascular exercise running /swimming /biking. Every mile run heals damage from years of smoking. This will speed up the repair of your lungs after a few weeks of this practice you will feel so revitalized and healthy you will wounder why you ever smoked in the first place

This is the path I took at a pack a day smoker I will be smoke free for one year on march the 15 2010

Sound advice, and from the rest of you guys, so thanks. The only problem i have with patches, is i have already gone this far without nicotine, i dont want it back in my system. however i am thinking of picking up kickboxing and losing my gym membership. As much as i love lifting, its not doing much for me.

I will let you guys know how im doing next month, haha.
