| In my various miscellaneous thoughts on PUA, life and the universe, I've had a realization about the PUA community, something I felt like sharing.
In our common PUA slang we have the term AFC to describe anyone who is not good with women. This is a barbaric simplification of all the people who come to PUA. Let me put it in a slightly less barbaric and simplified term.
AFCs, or rather people who come into PUA can be divided into two groups- shys and creeps.
Shys are, generally, people who have small issues with themselves being shy, coming out of a LTR, never having been good in high school, an will also include naturals who want to improve their game. What places people in this category, even if they are not shy, is that they genuinely want to improve themselves and know they can do it.
Creeps, on the other hand, have deep seated issues and insecurities which require therapy. What makes someone a creep is they come to the community looking for a quick fix. They have a twisted world view, twisted ideals and a twisted way of looking at woman.
What are creeps doing in PUA? Simply looking for a quick fix. They think that PUA techniques and routines will give them a quick fix to get laid easily without too much effort.
I like to align myself with people who genuinely want to improve themselves. Because PUA isn't about getting girls, or getting laid or even getting a LTR or love or something like that. PUA is simply men coming together to improve themselves. And if you do not want to improve yourself then, well, I have nothing more to say to you.
Tell me, honestly, are you in PUA to get a quick fix to your problems? Or to look them in the face, laugh, and beat them?
Now another group in PUA that I have found is the PUA addicts
PUA addicts, for lack of a better word, are people who have turned PUA into a lifestyle, a sport and a science. They live it, breath it and infest it upon other people if they like it or not. Unfortunately these people no longer see women as people, but as targets. These people will have trouble communicating with "normal" people, and will have few healthy relationships and trouble with LTRs.
Don't become an addict, don't worship PUA and don't make it a religion. PUA is to improve you, not to turn you into some routine running weirdo that needs to get laid five times a week to feel like he's worth something. _________________ http://www.solomonseagal.com
