At points the conversation just dies down and I can't think of anything to say.
Tonight I was sitting in the club with a beautiful girl's legs draped over mine, and I just couldn't think of anything more to say. I could've k-closed but I just hit a wall.
I'm so disappointed in myself!
Does anyone have some advice?

Like how responsive they are, how open they seem to different threads of conversation, the material they're inadvertently giving you to work with. Sometimes you can really vibe off someone, and they'll vibe off you, whereas other times you're pulled into the dreaded "Nonversation", and the more you try to recover, the worse it seems to make things.
But yeah, keeping the convo flowing is a very important skill to have for any situation... and not just for pick-up purposes. It reflects how much of a potentially interesting, social person you can be. Luckily you can improve this area, so just get out and talk to everyone you come across and I've found this makes you better at improvising, cold reading, joking, etc.

For whatever reason in my circles, quantum mechanics tend to come into discussion when the poeple in the convo are really drunk and high.
Cooking dinner for your target is one of the most basic methods of seduction in my opinion so I try to find out the target's favorite food, find a really tasty recipe, and make it.

It was just the two of us and I was trying to build comfort.
But thanks for the advice. I'll definitely be looking into cold reading...
I think I've learnt from this experience now.

Try guessing their name. "So you look like a sarah, because of blah blah." You'll end up having a 20minute discussion about names. Then after you find out their name tease her by saying that you still think that she's more of a sarah and that she should change her name.
