Wow, I've certainly had a long hiatus since being here! However; now that I am and interested again, this simple, yet interesting, post caught my eye. It's important to always take into account your competition and what others will be doing. Of course, that statement is much more important if you follow the "perception is reality" outlook on life, which as a social being, I believe we all should.
So what will other guys do? There are only two possibilities.. One, is they market themselves to the best degree that they can. They will pitch their best attributes, dictate their best accomplishments and substantiate their future with truth (and/or lies for that matter) to optimize their potential gains. The only way to counter that is if you legitimately have something to offer they do not. If so, then I would say that's easily the best route. You will intrigue her, show value and, frankly, if she is speed dating she's likely out for fun and will be surprised if she finds someone extremely unique! The other route is that guys will "game and wheel" her through flattery, jokes and a smile. In this case, you can still offer better. The bottom line is to create a sense of intrigue through a mix of substantiating yourself with statements of value and a personable fun side at the same time. This is a difficult line to walk; however, if you do, you'll yield all the results you want.
In the bigger picture I'm trying to make the point that "perception is reality" is true. As a social entity, its important to know this! You need to have the ability to adapt to various situations, adapt to others interactions and react in a manner that best suits you and facilitates her interest in you! Understanding others and what they're doing is a necessity to creating the results you want. We always talk about "inner game".. Well I argue that inner game comes from the understanding of others which will naturally create confidence in yourself. That natural sense of confidence is what wins any sort of realationship with anyone you want. Hope this helps!
Well as it turns out I didn't make it to the event, but I'm going to the next one. In anycasae, awesome feedback!!! Great words! Thanks!
