Being soft-spoken is not necessarily a bad thing, all you need to be aware of is to maintain your tone! Clubs are not the best place to "talk" to someone in order to get them interested!Clubs are for approaching the right girl at the right time in the dance floor and dancing with her and exchanging names and leading to kiss and exchanging numbers!
If she wants to ask more questions from you, you can suggest the smoking area perhaps and if she follows, its an IOI!
However, being the life of the party is a great way of peacocking, as long as "life of party" does not lead into "clown of the party"! So yes, I would say being soft spoken is not advised. But solution, I dont know if you consider urself a shy person or not, but being soft spoken is defiantly a sign for it. I personally am a life of the party when Im with the right people! Having people who bring your social value higher is a great way of gaining confidence in order to speak louder and clearer!
I dont know how much this helped ya, Im half asleep! :p

Your handwriting ISN'T you but it sure tells A LOT about who you are.

Your writing ISN'T you but it sure tells A LOT about who you are. (It still amazes that so many posters pour their guts out here and then go, "You don't know me!!")

Any how . . . the same goes for your voice. IT'S NOT you but it sure tells a lot about who you are. If you're ALWAYS soft spoken, give it some thought. You wrote, "Your boy" without a thought. It just came right out. This probably means you say this often. It probably also means that you think it often. Whose "boy" are you really?

Who kept you quiet all these years? Draw the dotted line.

Then you need to realize that he/she isn't going to those clubs with you. This is a different audience all together. Even after lots of "volume" exercises, you'll run into situations where you'll feel your voice drop in volume. Every time this occurs, give yourself a few seconds to "watch" yourself. What is really going on here? Then you'll need to realize . . . it's a different situation and a different audience.

I kinda had the same problem when i was starting off. Just practice speaking louder and work on controlling frames. No point in having a powerful voice if people dont want to listen. Also if you are having problems with stuttering slow down your speech.

Cheers~!
