something is wrong with my personality.

I have no trouble ever attracting anyone initially, but I cannot hook anyone. There's plenty of fish out there and I may be the worst fisherman on this planet. I kid you not.

I've had girlfriends, some that lasted over a year. But its because of them, and a relationship mentality, that I fail so bad now. I am not good anymore like I used to be. I think I become attached and clingy too fast, and I'm really not all that funny. I wish I knew what I was doing wrong, and could fix it.

It should be noted I can't even walk up and approach people. But I am going to get Xanax (or a similar anti anxiety med) soon and pray that that'll bring me out of my shell.

As for conversations, I tend to too quickly jump into "we should hang out" or something. Possessive perhaps. I didn't use to be this way, but as I said, being in a relationship really made me have this mentality. I wonder what I can do to fix myself, I wish someone here could really take me under their wing. I am very confident in my looks, but that's truly about it.

Medication is not always a good idea bro...you can try it but I suggest you just go see a therapist instead of grabbing the bottle of pills.

Thanks for the reply brother. I am diagnosed officially with generalized anxiety disorder and social anxiety. It's always been an issue, but moreso now than ever. That's why I'm turning to meds. I do agree with you, however, that pills shouldn't be the solution. But whatever works, I suppose. I have no history of addictions (i hate alcohol, never tried 99% of drugs, and dont like gambling or any of that). So I figured I might as well give an anti anxiety med a shot.

Then I hope they work out for you.

When I was younger (6 years ago) I was really depressed and after lots of therapy i had to take anti-depressants. They only made me worse though...I didnt care for anything anymore, and ruined my school/the career path I was going to take and that I had dreamt of for 16 years. I hope you dont suffer the same. As soon as your friends/family say you're changing (for the worse) you should quit taking them.

Best of luck.

Yeah they sure did, thanks for asking.

It took a while but when I moved out of my parents house and got more responsibility and had to grow up I evolved into a new person, then I discovered pick-up and my life has never been better :D

I hope your meds work out for you, and if they dont that maybe you get over your AA and pick-up can improve your life.

Best of luck

That's good to hear, I hope I have the same luck. I need to move out of the state, though, because PA is horrible for meeting women. You wouldn't believe how cold the weather and girls here are hah. Are you from somewhere with more open girls? hopefully

have you ever tried any form of hypnotherapy ?

i know its not exactly hypnotherapy, but i bought style's 'rules of the game' and when you sign up to style life (free) it sent me an audio clip which is sort of nlp, but it helped me a lot with my inner self, it gave me heaps of confidence for social situations

took a while for me to hunt this down, but i tihnk this is the working link for this

http://www.stylelife.com/challenge/SLA_ ... lf_1.1.mp3

it says you should do this in a quiet room, with no chance of distractions, and listen to it every couple of days for the first few days, then every so often when you feel you need a boost.

I don't care if its addictive or not as long as it helps with anxiety. I can control myself as far as addictions go. Never got heavy into alcohol or weed and I have the opportunity to every day. It's all about discipline.

But if you know any non addictive anxiety meds that work, feel free to toss me a name.

And thank you for the link, I am going to watch it now
