| Hey PUAs, I've got something to tell you.
At any given time, any day of the year, someone has a crush on you. That's right, it could be ANYBODY. The girl at the Xerox machine downstairs, the creepy girl in the library who never talks, your teacher, your student; these are the people you never even talk to or give a second thought about. It could also be the HB10 you passed and gawked at and talked to, the HB8 you try to hit on, your best friend or your worst enemy. You get it though - someone digs you.
Pulling my phone out of my pocket today, bored as shit, I thought I'd look through my contacts and reminisce about the girls that I sorta had a thing with in the past. I don't care how lame this is, cause I was shocked with what I realized. At some point or another, either I had a crush on each girl, or each girl had a crush on me (for the most part).
How did I fuck it up with sooo many girls? At the time that I talked to these girls I had never even heard of PUA or anything like that, so it was just regular old AFC Sharplin. But looking back with the knowledge I have now, I see so many IOIs, so many different hints that the girl was interested, and worst of all; so many things I could have done that would have changed the outcome in a positive way.
Then I realized what I failed to do - escalate. If I didn't have the fear to escalate with any of these girls, I would have at least hooked up with most of them, let alone perhaps f-closing some. But that was out of the question for me. I was an AFC, I was afraid, I was a lonely and desperate 'nice guy' who thought the girl would escalate for me. If I had realized this 2 years ago, I would have a few more kills under my belt and my problems with women would be far less severe.
I also noticed something else while going through my contacts. It was either one way or the other with each girl - either I had a crush on them, or they had a crush on me. This is when it hit me: cat-string theory. When I liked a girl, I made it kind of obvious with most of the common AFC traits, like being clingy, being a 'nice guy', talking about my feelings etc. And these only let the girl know that you want her. If she knows you want her and you make it that obvious, then what is there to work for? Girls like a challenge. They don't want to get bored of some guy whose stuck to their back all the time like a mosquito.
Try going through your contacts and thinking about your relationship with each girl in your phone. Think about what you did wrong and what you could have done better, and even what you did right. You'll learn a lot of lessons from it, as I did.
