Before I was a pua i always had a super serious demeanor so I never really developed much of a sense of humor. I always get women to laugh in the initial approach because everything is fabricated, but my conversations and follow up dates always end up being too serious.

Basically, other than cocky funny lines I have no sense of humor at all.

Whats the best guide to developing a female friendly sense of humor?

I like telling this joke when I'm walking to my place with a girl

So this guy brings this girl to his place for the first time and before he opens the door the girls say "wait I know how a man performs sexually by the way he opens his door. If he has troubles putting the key in the lock, then he is inexperienced and I don't like that. If he is forceful with the door then that means he is rough and I don't like that either. So how do you open your door?" the guy says "well the first thing I do is I lick the lock"

Sorry that my post doesnt help you build find the path to your sense of humor but its certainly something funny to say if you do like going down on a girl.

and ont the subject... Don't try to be someone youre not, if the conversation is serious let it be serious, you can still pick up girls by being serious and mysterious

yea sure but that only last for so long. i'm more into developing relationships with women and its pretty hard to do when we cant laugh together

what do YOU find funny? start working with that, and look for women that share the same sense of humor

This is quite the request. I remember when I was younger I thought I was too cool and I was not that outgoing. Then I realized I envied people that were funny and care free. Then I started taking life a little less seriously. I also found the more life experiences I had, the more confidence I gained...adding to my carefreeness if that makes sense. It was a building process and now I'm one of the funniest guys I know.

If you want to change you can will it to happen. Use lines and jokes for the time being...learn more jokes even...

People say don't use canned material because it doesn't portray who you really are. Here is some food for thought. If you tell a lot of jokes, tell stories that are funny and get people laughing then you are endanger of becoming a funny guy. You might be "faking" it, but fake it until you make it man. The more you laugh and make people laugh, the more you will get used to that and begin thinking in that mind frame. And there are comedians that have extremely dry sense of humor. Personally I think they are some of the funniest ones.

Here's the thing. You can't be serious the whole time your'e talking to a girl or you're just going to come off as creepy and the only girl you're going to take home is the fatty that can't get any other guy at the bar.

Humor is very key. First let my say that most people that don't have a sense of humor are people in a bad mood. Try listening to music that gets you in a good mood and gets you pumped up. When i'm in a good mood I laugh at everything and i'm just funny!

here's some tips:

1. You have to turn every opportunity into a joke. Ok, i take that back you have to think of everything as an opportunity to make fun of it. If it doesn't work don't use it but you have to be always trying. Like if a girl tells me "look at my new skirt I just got it today, do you like?" I'll tell her "YES! I love your skirt in fact, I have one just like it only mine is red" Now, is what I said really funny? no not, really but, if the girl likes you it doesn't matter she'll laugh at anything. and it's not a fake laugh either she really thinks its funny.

2. facial expressions are just as important as what you are saying. If you're face can display that you're both seeing the same irony in something it will make both of you laugh and make her feel a connection toward you. Lets say it's december and this girl walks by wearing fishnet and a mini skirt. You can kind of nod toward the girl once your target see's what you're pointing out and sees that you also think this girl is ridiculous you both laugh and share a moment.

This is really hard, i've never actually thought how to be funny... sorry I can't be of more help

I wanted to write a long post about the importance of canned materal, I just don't have so much time now, and english is not my first language...

there is nothing wrong about canned material, and all the guys that tell you not to use it, used it in the past to get to where they are, beside we all use it in one way or another, besides, thats practice

Just like in telling DHV stories you need to be expressive while telling the joke.

I would suggest watching a lot of comedy central presents and other stand up. I did most of my life and somehow absorbed the comedians humor frame. Also I tend to bond with a person more when they know I'm saying Mitch Hedberg one liners.

I agree with bloodmuffin. I watch a ton of stand up comedy and over the years some of the stuff just sticks in my mind and random times it comes out and it's usually pretty funny. Find comedians that you find funny and usually they will have a similar sense of humor as you.
