Hey guys, so I'm in a bit of a dilemma...

I have been with my girlfriend for a year now. She is good looking, very caring, and a very loyal person.

However, I am 19 and I'm starting university in September 2010. There has always been a part of me that has been a womaniser (not saying I get that much luck!) I wont cheat on my girlfriend though. I don't know what to do, as university is seen as the time to mingle and be sexually active with a variety of girls. Also, I kind of miss the going out 'on the pull' and the excitement of 'pulling' a girl, and the single life in general.

I'm completely torn. I think that if I had met my girlfriend after university I would be more than happy to stay with her, but I don't want to look back on my university years and feel like I've missed out on something.

Any advice guys? What would you do in this situation?

Thanks in advance!

~Deebo

Depends, what do you _want_ to do?

Do you really want to screw other random, meaningless women?

If you just enjoy the excitement of getting numbers or whatever, you could actually do that without actually sleeping with anyone. I know a guy who gets girl's numbers and just rips them up while walking away.

This may be high risk, but you could bring up the idea of an open relationship to her. I know a few people in one. You're in love and in a relationship with one person but you can have any sexual partners you want.

Really no one can tell you what you want.

If you really love your girlfriend, you will not want to be with other women correct? So if your questioning whether to be with other women, it isn't fair on your girlfriend.

I had a boyfriend the whole way through university and although I had lots of male friends, I didn't want to sleep with anyone except my boyfriend. I

agrree with the above statement - you can still "run game" as such on other women if you need validation that you are still hot so long as you don't go any further with them. The idea of getting their numbers and then ripping them up is a good idea. It proves to you that you still got it and could pick up should you so choose. But it doesn't hurt your relationship with your girlfriend.

At the end of the day, sex with the one you love is ALWAYS going to be MUCH better than a one night stand. Because they don't mean anything and your girlfriend does. How does your gf feel? Does she want to be with other guys?

In my experience, if you have those feelings and it's not just a once in a while "I miss single life" thought that everyone would have, then they aren't going to go away and you'll most likely be presented with a situation where you could cheat on her and you'll most likely take it.

I say let her go before you do something you regret and hurt her a lot more than you would have by breaking up.

Thanks for the responses guys.

I think that as Girlfriendofapua said, it is mainly the validation of knowing I'm still attractive to girls, and the 'I still could' thing that's most important to me if I really think about it.

I think Onoma's idea is a good one, as just getting numbers without anything else would still get me the validation I think I'm after.

Newmanm89 and StreetLight, I think this idea of just getting numbers will work. I have been presented with opportunities to cheat before and I haven't, so I don't think I would end up cheating on her. If someone came along that I really, really wanted, more than my girlfriend, I would end it with her before doing anything.
