This is a post to those who feel like they are hitting a slow point in their game, feel overwhelmed with an anxiety they never had before, take it personal when they get blown out of a set, and just want to make sure it never happens to them. What i'm about to share took me over a week of deep analyzing to figure out, and will require even longer to overcome.
The Effects of Comfort
As we all start out, we all have a reason for getting into the game. We abandon our prior self, or past existence to become aspiring PUAs and eventually become the men that we want to be. We blindly put our faith into a system, and pray that we will reap the benefits of ditching our old lifestyle. As we radically change our brackets of safety and comfort, we become open to new ideas/criticism/people/outlook on life. Now picture a few weeks down the road of field testing and absorbing information we find ourself at a check point, we are happy with the progress we have made (although it could be better), we have met new people, and have communicated better with our peers on a social level.
Fast foward this person a month or two into the future and he will undoubtedly be in a rut. His approaches will drop off a cliff, his anxiety will hit a new level, and he will have shown signs of regression in the community. This is the plague of comfort.
Comfort is this feeling of security as we attempt to establish ourselves within a different niche of life/people. As we close our brackets of comfort, we remove the number one thing that caused us to grow in the first place. If we are comfortable, then there is no way to improve or go where you want to go in life. Being a comfortable PUA is essentially becoming a newbie all over again.
Whats the solution to all this? Ditch your brackets of comfort, push yourself when you go out to be as uncomfortable as possible, and always kick the ball further then the goal. If you find yourself un-comftable when going out, your un-comftable with the idea of approaching that random girl/guy, you are only growing as a PUA and as a person.
