Naturally people want to hang out with people whom they are familiar with. So meeting someone new and setting up a time to hang out with someone is...in a way...a bit of a chore. But there is a way to get past the odd feelings.
The answer is within your first impression. Make the best first impression as humanly possible, and everything else will become extremely easy.
For Example:
I was on Myspace the other night and I saw this girl I have on my friends list (A girl that I didn't even know...so go figure why she was on my friends list), and she sent a status report that read, "Does anybody want to go on a blind date this weekend?" And I decided to give her a little taste of some shit she isn't used to...sympathy for her actions. I said...
Quote:
I don't know if you're trying to get a rise out of your friends, or if you're legitimately trying to meet new people....but either way....asking on Myspace for a blind date comes off as being a bit needy.
Look...
I'm planning on going to Snickerz Comedy Club with a group of my friends this weekend. If you're wanting to experience something new with a few new, interesting people...then I give me a call at ___-___-____.
It's sort of like a blind date...but dinner and a movie just don't fly for me...but trust me, you'll have a good time.
Take it easy,
Thomas
I know for a fact that she felt a little different about me opposed to the other guys, that I had noticed, replied to her message with the usual "ME ME!" and "SURE!". Knowing this...all I did was wait for the reply....and it went like this...
Quote:
well it was all kinda a joke.. i wanted to see how many creepsters would reply asking me on a date.. it was pretty funny..but still im a bit needy.. i like having company around.. thanks for inviting me to snickerz but im pinchin pennies right now.. other than that id love to go. maybe you can get ahold of me to do someting sometime.. ___-___-____ peace.

As I said...it's all in the first impression, and usually you'll have people begging to give you their numbers, talk to you, and eventually hang out with you.
