They speak French here- I failed French class.
I think I'll manage though. I just had a conversation about practicing my French with a couple girls behind the counter: "Puis j'avoir le sandwich aux oeufs et le cafe sil vout plait?"
I also thought of an opener:
"hi, do you girls speak english? maybeyou could help me with something. Some girl just came up to me and said 'voulez vous coucher Avec moi ce soir?' what does that mean?
It means 'will you sleep with me tonight?'.
Any thoughts?

Most people there speak at least some english, in fact the city is pretty much split 50/50 on english/french. you should be able to get by on a limited amount of french
