I am sitting in a Second Cup in Montreal's Central Station typing on my iPod and listening to Christmas music play as dozens of HB8-10s pass by, and I am thinking: how do I game in a different language? They speak French here- I failed French class.

I think I'll manage though. I just had a conversation about practicing my French with a couple girls behind the counter: "Puis j'avoir le sandwich aux oeufs et le cafe sil vout plait?"

I also thought of an opener:
"hi, do you girls speak english? maybeyou could help me with something. Some girl just came up to me and said 'voulez vous coucher Avec moi ce soir?' what does that mean?

It means 'will you sleep with me tonight?'.

Any thoughts?

I use to go to Montreal a lot. Most people there speak at least some english, in fact the city is pretty much split 50/50 on english/french. you should be able to get by on a limited amount of french
