Like probably most of the guys here, I hate those Twilight movies. A gf forced me to watch the first one, and I almost dumped her right in the middle of it.

I agree for the most part. My facebook feeds have been overwhelmed by many of my girl and gay friends love for Twilight... my beta friends also seem to approve and buy into the hype because they like the love story... I just think they want some girl to love them for who they are. /sigh

All my girl-friends love this shit & went to the mid night show thursday read the books etc. Hell what's funny is there are some chode guys that want to get with them that went to. They wouldn't let them go until they read the books though so they read them. Total chodes.

what annoys me is that the acting the characters and the general story is considered "the best vampire book, or generally the best movie"..
I for example can enjoy good porn, but I will not say it's quality movie making..

same thing here .. all the FUZZ around twilight is an insult to the human intelligence

There was a time when vampires were fucking awesome, violent badasses. All the recent twilight and vampire craze annoys the crap outta me.

It's because vampire represent the ultimate bad boy. They are designed to perfectly mix sexuality and danger. And women are very turned on by danger. Fear is an odd aphrodisiac for women. Not to mention women are attracted to power, and vampires symbolize extreme power. Plus the whole biting/ neck-play thing is an obvious sexual turn on for a woman. Not to mention that most vampires have that odd piercing predatory stare that women respond to so well. And they have built-in peacocking aspects, like pale skin or superpowers, that set them apart from most people. But I think most of all, women like the idea that eons and eons of immortality has resulted in a man who has the maturity and confidence of 100+ years of experience, and the body of a young person.

sounds about right!

This movie is succesful because men cant provide what women want.

Seriously ? Do you really need an article to explain you why girls like twilight ? I didn't see the first one (and didn't know there was a first one to start with) but I did see the second one. The movie looks like they took a romantic book that female like to read and just made a movie of it. No wonder that women like this movie. Of course, for men, it is very painfull to watch because the movie is way too emotional. Anyway, what does this have to do with game and pickup ? Are you planning to go out dressed as a vampire ?

The real reason women like Twilight:

First of all, WATCH TWILIGHT! Its a great conversation piece as most women have watched it multiple times and most of them have never spoken to a guy about it. Or maybe they have but initial response is always "Twilight is gay" or some crap like that, so a man who can talk to a women about twilight is pretty big to them.

Anyway what happens in the first movie is that Edward Cullen approached a a girl Bella and every time he asks her a question, she answers but when she asks him something, he stands up and walks right on out of the room. Its a part of that whole "You want what you can't get" theory. So he does this a few times and now shes very interested, so he approaches her again and says to her that its not good they see each other. Then leaves again and approaches her later on and so on. What he does is creating a pattern that makes him more and more interesting.

The second movie is about the same thing, this time he just leaves for a longer period of time and comes back later on..

Now go ahead and watch it or both of them, but keep in mind "You want what you can't get". The psychology behind it is quite fascinating.

I would ask you, are you planning to go out with a furry hat?
