So this guy named Derrick comes up to me during class one day (I'm a senior in high school) and asks me, so magdiel do you like any of the girls in here? I told him well I think alot of them are hot. And I ask him what about u do u like any of the girls and here and he points to this girl who I like too (hb9). I ask him if he is going to try and hook up with her but he says no in an uncomfterable way. Then he asks me if I like her too and I say yeah. Then he goes and tries to tell her and he's all like really well let me just go talk to her for you but I push him back in his seat. Then today he tries doing it again, when she got close he tried to call her but she didn't hear him.

He is basically using me as a way to talk to her and in the process probably ruining my chances of getting with her. What do I do so that he doesn't make me look bad?and just incase he does tell her what do I do?

Meh, so what if he tells her? He only has power over you if you don't want him to tell her. Let him say whatever he wants; the more people talk about you the more important you become.

THis could work to your advantage let him tell her, means you can initiate a conversation with her and she will be more open to showing interest if she likes you. Thus skipping out lots of steps in the ol' MM M3 model. So yar either go up and tell her you like her or let him do it.
