I actually get this from girls ALL THE TIME. It's always some version of this. It might be, "I think I've met you before." Is it some type of standard pickup line girls use? I figure you all must have heard it at some point also if it is and could drop me a clue. Either that or perhaps I have a face that's really common or something.

I definately need a default response to this that's clever and moves the conversation in the right direction (toward a number close). Any ideas on what I should say?

I dont know if this is what your looking for exactly but heres something I think could work. I dont remember where I got this from so sorry about the lack of credit but....

ive used it a few times. its not the greatest, but its alright

HB:I think I've met you before...?
Jack:yeah I think you might have, what was your name again, Mary right?
HB:No... Jill.
Jack:you look more like a Mary than a Jill... its gonna take some time to get use to Mary... see there it is again!"
[Then transition]

Later when they call you and say "hey its me... Jill..." you say... "Who?" and jokingly she'll say "ummm... Mary???" hahahaha... "oh Jill how are you?"

first one seems like you are trying to hard, second one can work in the right setting and area of the country

when a girl says "You look like someone I know" or something like that I have always replied with "He must be one good looking guy."...never realized it was game, just seemed like the thing to say at the time. Try that. Although I do like that after party thing.
