Basically, one of my exes 'B' and I are 'friends', in that whenever I go home, I'll spend a few nights at hers, but recently she's started getting friendly with her ex, 'D', who used to beat her, berate her, and generally leave her a hollowed out husk of a woman.

I truly hate the guy and wish I could send him to that special area of hell reserved for wife beaters and child abusers.

My problem is that B is lying to him about me and to me about him, forcing me to be the dirty little secret and it tears me up feeling that I'm second place to this degenerate waste of genetic material. I still love her in my own way, but not sure if it's worth all of this.

The multitude of questions in my head: What should I do? Should I drop her? Should I tell her all the secrets I've uncovered about him? Should I find some way to get him out of her life? Should I even care, living 160 miles away and unlikely to see her again except on holidays?

Most importantly: Why is this messing up my head so bad?
