And I don't think it went too well, mainly because the girls, and me, couldn't hear anything. It left me in some awkward situations where I was repeating myself, and I couldn't understand their response. And Im not exaggerating, any conversation was impossible. Yet, I still saw some people I knew from school who also came, they were hooking up with girls by the end.
Any tips as to what to do in this situation in this setting, when actually opening cannot be done with words?

if you can dance a bit, try to hook up on the dance floor...
otherwise try to speak louder and pull her to a chill-out area

If you and your buddies are out on the dance floor together and you break out into some pop 'n' lock moves girls WILL notice. if you look up poppin guides online, you can learn a few basic moves that'll attract a lot of female attention because they arent seen that often.

Okay, when some one is speaking to you (loudly, usually at a club), fold the tragus of your ear over the opening of your ear canal. Then try to have their voice project towards the side of your head as much as possible (you don't want to be looking directly at them while doing this). This creates a GREAT excuse to lean in next to their face. Plus if you position them correctly, they won't even notice how you're holding your ear (which honestly, doesn't even look as awkward as it may sound).
Note: When done correctly, you should look like a secret agent pushing their ear piece in.
This technique muffles loud music and voices become super, super clear! Having people yell progressively louder into your ear is neither enjoyable nor effective, and WILL cause damage. If someone's voice sounds overdriven, they are beyond too loud for your ear drum.
I challenge you to try it, and I guarantee you girls (and your guy friends/wingmen) will appreciate you actually being able to understand them.
