The only thing is that Im still not good beyond the opener, and I tend to lose myself either qualifying, trying to build rapport, or simply boring them...More practice to come!

I used to have a similar problem when I was getting back into the game. I reccomend doing what I do which is keep a Game Journal. I can't tell you how infinetely useful it is. Use it to jot down notes, tips, hints, gambits, stories, successes, and ESPECIALLY failures so you will NEVER make them again. I actually had the reverse problem as you, I sucked at openers but performed spectacular at qualifying and rapport. Just tease neg to DHV, keep in mind that the word VALUE. What makes an apple more valuable than another apple? It's ripeness. A candle over another? It's smell. A person over another person? How they're perceived. If you want to be perceived as fun guy who knows what he's doing than do it. Unlike an apple or a candle, you can become what you want to be. So get rip and smell fresh, good luck out there.

And remember, make them laugh. Nothing, and I mean NOTHING, works better than making a woman laugh. Being able to make women laugh is a simple concept that requires a lot of strong, alpha qualities: leadership, confidence, cockiness without arrogance, intelligence (hopefully), wittiness, etcetera. Confidence + Humor = Win
