One of my major sticking points is writing/conforming DHV stories. I know where they go in a set. I'm okay at speaking. I just find it hard to DHV spike without sounding like a twat. I think I also struggle with resisting to 'ummm' and 'arrrr' but i guessing that that will disapear when I'm not making this stuff up on the spot!

Below are some DHV stories I've attempted to jot down. Some true.. Some exagurations and some just really not true at all but could've happened in my world.

If you want any of these plot lines btw, feel free but I would like feedback in return!


Story 1 - True Story (some facts changed to appear older such as age)

Oh my goodness, I have to tell you about my all expenses paid trip to Italy. The European union needed to have some input from 18 year olds about some european policies and because I was head boy I was asked to go. So get this, we're flying to Italy, the plane lands and we're taken to this 5 star hotel.

I'm thinking FUCK. This is THE SHIT. Our window had the best view of the ocean and the sun never stopped shining for the whole time. As soon as we looked out the window on the first day and saw the ocean we just HAD to go swimming. Being British ofcourse, we had to take full advantage of sunlight.

So we head out to the sand, litterally a stones throw away from the hotel. We had to have teachers with us as it was a school thing but they went straight off to the bar leaving no contact number or anything. Now this may not seem like a big deal and believe me, we didn't even think of it at the time. But, within an hour of getting to the hotel, there was blood EVERYWHERE. We had gone climbing on the this wave breaker slightly offshore. It was basically a load of bolders shoved down to catch the sediment and stop it from escaping. We climbed up these rocks no problem but getting down was where we had some... issues. I dived off into the water but my friend just couldn't bring herself to jump off.

I just walked up, turned around and said 'hey, jump on my back'. She did... And we immedietely well sideways. THis would've been a big joke if we fell into water but we fell onto a rock... COVERED... in what must have been THE SHARPEST clams. Litterally like knives. I didn't feel anything but Meg on my back had cut her palm open. It was dripping down her arm straight away because it was mixed with the water.

I'm a lifeguard so I got her hand above her head straight away and helped he all the way to shore. My other friend who had got off the rock okay looked down at my leg and I swear to god she almost fainted. I was like 'What's the big deal'. i looked down and there were gallons of blood dripping down my foot. My knee had about a 3 inch gash.

You could see the fat and everything! Being a biologist I was actually pretty interested. We found a first aid kit at the hotel and figured we needed to go to A & E. This was within an hour of getting to the hotel. We phoned for a taxi and had to leave a note for the teachers who were pretty much oblivious as to what was happening. I got several stitches on my leg and meg got a couple on her palm. I tell you what man it only went downhill from there...


Okay so I figured that DHV spikes were:
five star
all expenses paid
There's also suspense in there - Blood everywhere
Pre selected - head boy, asked to go on this trip
Protecter of loved ones - helping my friend offf the rocks

When I write them out like this, I just feel there's not enough spikes. I don't think there are any DLV pits though.
