So last night my best friends mum offered me a ticket to go to this fashion show. The clothes that are exclusive to her shop were being modeled there and I had nothing better to do that Saturday night so in an effort to change my lifestyle and get out and meet more women I decided that I would go. Now the first problem I found was that my best friends mother, my mother and three of there friends were going so priority number 1 was to drive them there and ditch them as soon as possible.
When I got there I made sure that I made eye contact with all the women I could and smiled confidently and just said "Hi". This worked pretty well and I was pleasantly surprised at how receptive everyone was which boosted my confidence a bit more. When in line to get a hold of my ticket I made eye contact and smiled at one of the girls beside me who was with her friend (HB8 & HB7) and just said "Exciting Stuff isn't it" she smiled back and replied "Yeah it looks pretty good" I then got my ticket turned to her and said "I'm buzzing" smiled and walked off to the table I was at. (I think I should have probably stayed around at this point and tried to build some kind of conversation or rapport and introduced myself). I took my seat and watched the first half of the show.
At the first break I opened an HB8 by saying "Thats a fantastic dress your wearing". She smiled and replied "Thanks" and I continued talking to her. She had an accent so I was able to build a conversation around that for a while. We walked and talked to the bar then her boyfriend joined her I stood and talked to her boyfriend for a bit as well then I spotted the two girls form the line and went to speak to them. With the two girls from the line I made a kind of stupid mistake and instead of just approaching I went round to there side and asked the barman if he had a "Bin" and the barman gave me a Pen I told him no a "Bin" and the barman asked "A Pin?" and one of the girls says to the barman "No a bin". I make a bit of a joke about the barman to the girls who laugh and smile. Mistake number two was that I didn't introduce myself. At this point the 2nd part of the show started so we all rushed back to our seats.
At the 2nd break I meet up with the two girls again and they've just bought food (I still haven't introduce myself yet which seems like a big mistake). I begin talking to HB7 and she introduces herself as Charlotte and we shake hands. I then shook HB8's hand who said "I'm Robin sorry but I'm more interested in my food just now" as she added stuff to her burger while holding a plate of fish and chips. Charlotte said "Robin really loves her food" and I replied "Yeah I can see that" in a cocky/funny way. This managed to bring her bitch shield down a bit and she laughed at the remark I had made. Part 3 of the show was just beginning at around this point so we all rushed back to our seats again. After the show had finished they left and I didn't get to see them again. I walked around a bit more trying to open some more girls some of them weren't to receptive but I didn't let that bother me to much.
At the end of the night while I was outside waiting on the people I was with to get ready so I could take them home this pretty blond girl (HB7/HB8) was standing there with her mobile phone out and she aksed me "Do you have the number to any taxi's in this area". I said I don't have a clue and asked my friends younger daughter who was there "Do you know the number to any taxis" and she said no to. The girl asked me what I was doing here and I told her I was "Waiting for that drunken lot to hurry up so I could take them home". I asked her where she lived and she said not far from here in just a mile or so into town. I told her "I'll drive you home if you like?". She replied "Would you?" and I said "Yeah not a problem". I walked with her to my car just chatting about the show and where she worked and why she was here etc. When we got to the car we spoke about where she was from and I made fun of where she was from playfully which made her laugh and hit my arm. I made fun of her again a little later on and she hit my arm again. I found out her name was Charlie Moss, she was from stokeontrent and was in her 3rd year at Uni studying English. I told her the funny story behind how I got my "Bright Red Sexy Ford Ka" which made her laugh. When we got to the road her house was on I stopped and she said "Thank you so much I don't know how to repay you for this". I told her "Give me your phone number and I'll take you out sometime." She smiled and gave me her number. I tried txting her about 15 minutes later but her phone must of been off and the message hasnt been delivered. I triend phoning her today but it went straight to answer phone (Usually a sign the phone is turned off). I might try phoning her in a day or so.
Not sure if she has given me an old number or something and just gave it to me to be nice for the lift home (hope not). Any ideas what to do if I can't contact her by phone? I know where she works so I could possibly drop in about a week or so from now and hope to run into her? Any suggestions? I don't want to undo some of the work I've done in getting rid of some of the AFC behaviour I have so If I've not contacted her by the end of the week should I just move on from there or just a couple of days?
