Hi guys, I need your opinion on the level of interest of two girls. Let me start off by saying that I know I'm shy and a RAFC (which is why I'm here in the first place), so there's no point in rubbing that in. I'll try to give you guys as much info as I can and my questions to you guys are bolded.
Girl "number 1"
I met girl "number one" in my English class. The first day I actually managed to force myself to sit next to her. She glanced over and smiled. Over the next couple of weeks, she
constantly looked back over her shoulder (as if pretending to check the time). My seat is a little bit behind and to the right of her so I have a good view of her actions. She also adjusts her shirt, taps her leg, flips her hair, etc. - all signs that she's not completely comfortable. We didn't really talk at all except a few short exchanges about english homework for a long period of time.
Maybe 4 weeks after the first day of class I saw her in the computer lab and I sat down next to her. We talked a bit about different stuff, and she appeared interested but then she left suddenly without even saying bye or smiling at me before she left - I would guess either she was nervous or she wasn't interested.
We had class later that day, and I caught her staring straight at me. I managed to give her a confident smirk without actually looking away. She smiled and whispered something (the teacher was still lecturing) which I didn't hear and I just smiled back. I let her break eye contact and turn back to the front of the room. At the end of class as we were packing up, she turned to me and said something like
"Did you hear me?"
Me - "No, sorry I couldn't hear you whispering"
"I said I was falling asleep"
Me - *laugh* "Yea, this class isn't exactly exciting"
The convo. kind of slowly faded from there and we finished packing up our things.
What should have I said?
I was thinking something cocky and funny like "Oh, you weren't staring at me? Well, that's too bad. *laugh*"
The following either happened at the end of that class or the next class (damn memory). The teacher handed out last week's corrected tests. I'm one of the last people to get my paper back. The girl I'm interested in is standing outside in the hall, alone, looking down at her phone - either pretending to send a text message or actually sending one. She didn't look up at all and I walked right by her :\
I want to know: whether you guys think she was waiting for me to approach her and if so, just an example of what should have I said?
I was thinking something pretty direct like: "Hi (name)" *wait for her to look up* "Don't want to interrupt your "super important" text message, but do you want to grab something to eat?
So what do you guys think based on the info provided? Is she most likely interested? What did I do right and what did I do wrong?
Girl number 2
I met girl number 2 as part of the business club. It's kind of funny because I thought I was developing one-itis before this second girl started to show interest.
First off, it seems like she always goes out of her way to bump into me. One day she even said "(my name), you never say hi to me! *frowny face*" I felt like saying jeezus, I would, but you always come out of nowhere and say hi before I even see you.
She's also very flirty (but she's like that with a lot of guys). She asked for my number a couple weeks ago(under the excuse that we're going to have to talk a lot to organize school stuff).
Last and most importantly, (this happened today) we're both officers of the business club and there's an e-mail system that's used to contact other members of the club. She sent me an e-mail
"blah blah unimportant business related stuff
And would you be able to come over around 7 tomorrow?!?!!
"
I was at a friend's track meet most of the day and I have a bad habit of not checking my phone. I get home, see the e-mail, then check my phone and realized that she had also called me.
The call was something like (my name), *slightly annoyed voice* you never pick up your phone! Can you come over tomorrow around 7? Call me back when you get this...alright bye"
I called her back and she was at work. She told me to text her (which I don't have at the moment for various reasons) and I told her I'd call her back.
So...girl number 2 is most likely interested? yes, no? Any other comments? I also know that getting texting isn't necessary for a hookup or a gf but it might make things easier.
Update: girl no#2
called me back and apologized for not letting me know her work hours. she asked if I'd be able to come over tomorrow and I said I should be able to.
any comments on these two situations would still be very helpful
