I'm trying to game this chick.

I'm a senior in high school.

HB8 is slightly innocent.

I always have short talks with her in hallway and get definite IOI's.
She has complimented my looks before and to my female friend.

I have been texting her and getting definite IOI's!!!

But I can't get her to text me first. Is this something I should worry about???

Any tips or tricks for this?

if you keep texting and texting her then your going to get stuck in friend zone. Impact is right, you have to start hanging out with her. Start low pressure though like go out for ice cream or whatever

Texting is fine, but I would definitely cut down on the texting and focus more on face to face conversations. In situations like this I usually invite the girl to a party coming up in the weekend.

It doesn't even matter if there really is a party going on or not, just say so and they're almost guaranteed to say yes lol. Most of the time you hear about a party going down anyways, and if one doesn't pop up, just say the party got canceled and ask her if she and her friends just want to chill and come over

The fact that you're making it an occasion where her friends are around makes it that much more comfortable for her and trust me, you will eventually get some alone time. Once she kicks it with you a few times she'll get more comfortable and that's when I would ask her out on a date.

Personally I'm a very patient guy and I like to take it real slow especially if I really like a girl. From what you said, she's slightly innocent so I wouldn't risk blowing your chance by being too aggressive.

She was giving you an indirect invite dawg. You should have just said that you wanted to go. Doesn't really matter how.

Dude you need to learn how to read the signals, it's ok it takes time, just remember the girl 95% will never directly invite you, like thats how females are, she is not gonna be like "hey do you wanna go on a date" no, she swill just give you some type of suggestion to go somewhere, but the trick is not jump on it and be all excited but to take it easy like" yah sure I may come if I have free time after the party..." etc, you know what I mean.

And of course she is gonna say ok and you go.
I always do this if I'm going on a "date" or meeting with a girl, I will say something like: ok we are going blah blah, but I'm coming with 2 conditions - 1. You won't try to get in my pants (setting up the frame that she is chasing you) and 2. that you wear a mini skirt (summer, winter - skinny jeans or something sexy) and bring a flashlight (mystery). You get the idea
