I would say this one makes the most sense.

My version would be...'an instinctive DRIVE that ENABLES replication. (and survival in a females case)'

When you are attracted to someone...the end goal in mind, is sex. Attraction exists to bring humans together in order to have sex.

Without attraction, how much sex would you be having today? We would have died out long ago. I therefore believe attraction exists for one main purpose, replication.
