I've learned the one with the straw and the coin passing through hand. Does anybody know about the one when he throws a coin in the air and makes it disappear? I've read somewhere it's his favourite one.

i have a libary of old magic books that my dad keeps as he was an amature magician and I know a select few tricks .. but what I find very valuable these days is youtube!

have a look there for magic tricks and how to do them..

remember the most important thing about magic is to practice a lot in front of a mirror and try your stuff on kids.. they are harder to fool believe it or not.

coin magic is best... other wise you look like you've brought you cape and wand into a bar.

great advise .. also there are a ton of bar tricks you can do with normal items like glasses cigarettes , coins napkins , straws lighters , pens , papers etc etc.. look around for those.. cause then you can ask for that item off some one and it makes the interaction that much more powerful.

The only tricks you should perform should be slight of hand tricks with coins or other bar room apertures. Because, anyone can know slight of hand, and you dont look like your trying to impress. Unless of course you happen to be a magician in which case go nuts.

Mystery is a magician, a good one too from all accounts. So it fits into his identity to pop out a really kick ass magic trick. If your not a magicain, do a small trick and throw in that you "get your little sister with that one all the time" to throw in another subtle neg/ explanation of why you just done it.
