hello all, my name is grant and i hail from va. recently i moved here and have been more than dissapointed with my "skills" at picking up women here. ( i spent 18 years in nj) ive researched all the tricks, watched mystery on vh1 and tried to pick women up. but all the time i keep getting bad numbers, or women telling me they dont have a facebook/myspace. i have problems opening and closing, but as soon as i get it rolling i know about body behavior and how to gauge the womens interest and how to get out if needed. i just cant seem to find good openings for girls in my college classes/wawa/friends of friends. thank you -grant

Haha looks like you have nailed the most difficult bit! What i suggest is you mix it up a bit. Try going in with some direct lines, indirect lines etc.

Many guys steer away from direct lines when there new to the game, but you dont know until you try, it may work out real good for you first time and you may prefer direct from then on.

Find out some suitable approach lines for different scenarios so you have no excuse NOT to talk to any woman you see.

The simple answer to your 'closing issue' would be that your not getting enough attraction before your going for the close. Try either two of these things...

1. Check out compliance tests; the in my e-book series, as well as a few other PUA's material. They are good indication of whether your ready to go for a close or not.

2. Try closing with a good De Angelo close, "Hey you seem like you could be a good friend, put your number in here." Its more difficult for them to say no because you have ran the 'lets just be friends' line on them.

alright puaf, well i spent the last 2 days researching as many ways as i can in my free time ( this forum is hugeeeeee) and im only down like two links, i keep looking for not a universal way to open and go at it. but everytime i go to a forum the stickys dont tell me what to do. i cant seem to find something that i can remember off the top of my head in the time.

i negged a girl real good today, she blew me off before but as we were leaving class i said you look nice, kinda like a giant pumpkin. ( she was wearing a plain but bright orange shirt) and she laughed and said yea, i just bought some bright purple pants, so i replyd then all you need is a green shirt and you can go as barney for halloween as i walked away.

but back to the topic, i cant seem to find a good basic run-of-the-line opener that works in virtually atleast half the situations. most of the time i wanna talk to a girl its either at my community college, or at a store or something. i dont know these girls personally so i think they would be great excercises. my friend is going to try a new excersise with me which is whenever we see a girl thats attractive, hes gonna point to her and i will have to go up and talk to her. or i give him 5 bucks, i backed myself into the corner for a reason so i would HAVE to learn how to become atleast an amateaur pua. so if someone would just give me a basic guideline to how to go about this. such as

opener
build rapport
kino escalation
close

i want to get their numbers and stuff but right now im just working on my immediate game. not the longer stuff.

any help would be appreciated
